Weekly Announcements

ATRIUMS ARE NOW CLOSED for the rest of the year. The only exception is if a teacher has communicated with building administrators about groups who will have passes to work on classwork.
We will have Underclassman Department Awards Recognition (an Ice Cream Social!) on Wednesday at 1:45pm. Students who are being recognized will receive certificates (tomorrow or Wednesday) and a pass from the teacher who is recognizing you. Students will need the pass to get into the ice cream social and should report directly to the cafeteria at the start of 8th period.
This week is your last full week of school! Final Exams will be next Tuesday - Thursday, May 26th-28th. A separate message will be sent out with the schedule and details. If you are exempt from a final exam, your teachers will communicate with you directly. If you have questions about exemptions, please speak with your teachers.
2026-27 Student Schedules: Students will receive your tentative 26-27 schedules by this Friday. You must communicate with your school counselor if you need to discuss a possible class change by Friday, June 5th.

Hoover High School is offering an ACT prep workshop this June. Click here for more information. This is a great chance to get some extra practice and feel more confident for the test. Please note that any associated fees are the responsibility of the student.
Students interested in exploring careers in accounting, check out this summer CPA Camp opportunity. There is no cost to students but transportation is the responsibility of the student.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is hosting its sixth annual Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic College Fair at the Bulldog Activity Center on September 3, 2026 from 9:00 - 12:00, free of charge. In addition to interacting with college representatives, the fair will include live breakout sessions with college admissions staff on admissions, finances, the HBCU experience and more. 11:00a (approximately) Senior Parades to FMES, CSMS and CSHS. Wear your cap and gown! We will take the last group senior photo after the parade at the high school.
7:00p Graduation Ceremony (arrive by 6:15 to door 4)

Phones/listening devices must be in BACKPACKS from 7:40am - 2:35pm.
ONLY school-issued devices are permitted to be used during classes and study halls. (This includes personal gaming devices, etc...)
WIRED headphones are permitted to be used with school-issued laptops during study halls.
If you are caught skipping class, you will be issued ISS.
Just a reminder: The "See Something/Say Something" app and website are available for your use if you need to inform high school adults about a concern, but you want to do that anonymously. Remember, seeking help for a classmate is very different than "snitching".
